Cracking stuff! Both installments of the Sphinn awards have been hugely enjoyable. Well done Jeff and Dave (and of course Shana for sphinning them).

thanks swags... it was a fun journey. Maybe IF we do any more of these, I will make some polls up for folks to vote on some non-statistical categories like 'Most Popular SPhinner' and so on... just some thoughts we had that I didn't get around to this time....

I don't want to push it either without Danny or other staffer agreeing that this is ok.... for now it was a 'one-off' gig.....

Well done to Maki on the Tireless Reporter accolade - truly the Wayne Gretzky of Sphinn. (I almost said Don Bradman before remembering that no-one in North America would have the faintest idea who he was.)

Thanks to everyone who voted for it, commented, stumbled it, won, prepared acceptance speeches, and just breathed. It was a whole lot of fun. As Dave says though ... we'd like to get Danny's approval before making it a recurring event (Danny ... you listening? Even if you don't respond, I'll find you in Vegas ya know!).

I have no idea what to follow this up with though.... maybe some more 'mock software' such as the Matt Cutts; Link Spam Assassin I did.... hmmm whatcha' call that? MockWare? bwaa ha ha ha ha ha.....

Would this have taken the award for the fastest 'Gone Hot' ever at 2 hours 40 mins? Or am I sorely off track? Jeff? Dave? I'm sure you've got the stats for this one ready and waiting. ;)

Swags - Yesterdays Sphinn went hot under 2 hours and believe it or not.... it still wasn't the fastest to have gone hot. :)

@ swag as Shana mentioned, yesterday's was 1hr 58 minutes.... and some one mentioned one that took less thana hour.... so we're no where near that one. I wanted to try this 2 Blog/ 2 Day approach to kind of see what the numbers where in the end (analytics). I was curious as to how people reacted with the lead up and the 2 day affair. I wanted to see how it performed as opposed to a single post... just some fun.

@ SB - go 'write' ahead man... I can even make a little 'runner up' award graphic for you if you actually care that much :0)

I am listening, and I am shocked and upset that.... Heh. These are wonderful! I've been swamped the past few days and want to go back and read the award posts in more detail. Clearly, not only will they have to be annual, but we'll need to arrange an actual award ceremony at some point!

@ SearchBuzz (Mike) ... you can prepare a speech. Just make it flexible enough that you can use it next time, and get 'busier' :)
