Is Google Universal Search live or all searches or just some?

Does Google have a plan for when Universal Search will be showing up for all searches? Right now, a Google search for Minnesota shows 10 text results and no images, news or video. A search for Google shows video, news and text results. It seems that only some Google searches show more than text results.

A quick search of YouTube and Google images and there are plenty of results for Minnesota. So why don't they show up?

Anyone know if there is there a roll out plan for including video, images and/or news in all searches?

According to Google Public Relations, it's live for all searches.  Now, images and videos show up in the search results based on their inbound links and other ranking factors.  Universal Search doesn't seem to be the addition of other media, but the possiblity for that other media to rank if it has enough links and relavancy.
