Over the last year, unique vis­i­tors have mostly lev­eled off for social media giant LinkedIn. While some may attribute this to a gen­eral indus­try slump (Twit­ter has expe­ri­enced a sim­i­lar lev­el­ing off), I think it’s indica­tive of a broader prob­lem. LinkedIn has seen bet­ter days, and won’t ever again expe­ri­ence 300% growth rates, as it did in June '06-June '07.

No, it isn't. A little over the top here. But if you have any sites getting 15m uniques a month (and are dead), I'm happy to take it off your hands ;).

Young people are prone to hyperbole (it's dead!). This reminds me of - a few years ago - people at webmasterworld claiming AOL was dead because nobody they know used it. AOL had millions of subscribers, and actual revenue, but it wasn't the hip new thing, so it was "dead".
