Uh Matt ... FYI ... you are one of the big names!
LOL, that's what I was thinking Jeff...but let's not swell his head to much. :) I need it to fit through the door of the Alamo. :)
I think you both have me confused with someone else. Although, come to think of it, I am the Best SEO Ever ... http://best.seo.ever.com/ ... so that must count for something. :)
Best SEO ever and greatest living Washintonion, all wrapped up in one cuddly package.
"all wrapped up in one cuddly package."
uhhh....I'm not sure that works as well when YOU say it.
I know it's more affordable to host conferences on weekdays, but many of us owning small businesses earn the bulk of our incomes during the week. I would love to see these kind of events held on weekends.
Either way, I am marking my calendar and planning to attend.
Planetc1, I feel you. That was one of the harder decisions we had to make. Robert and I are a small business ourselves (there are only the two of us working full time) and as you noted, you do have to make money.
In fact, I'm planning my first vacation in Feburary. It'll be the first time in four years I've taken a vacation without my laptop. I've blogged during every "getaway" I've taken since starting at SEG. Heck, I was even posting articles throughout my maternity leave. ;)
Ultimately though, cost is a factor. Flights and hotels book more quickly and cost more money over the weekend. The price difference can actually be pretty high.
That said, we picked Monday/Tuesday for the reasons you mentioned. We figure if you fly in Sunday evening, you don't miss a day of work. We're also wrapping up the show at 3pm on Tuesday, so folks can still catch a flight out that evening. Besides, the obvious hope would be that we send you home with enough info to make it worth taking two days "off," right? ;)
Look forward to meeting you!
OH yeah, and if you come, will you give me an adjustment? ;) Hotel beds kill my back...
Forget Hollywood, Chiropractor to the SEO Stars!
Jennifer, you could make back adjustments one of the sessions. It would be packed!
