This article, by its title, promises to give some insider knowledge from an SEO pro that most of us might be able to learn from. Sadly the information is run-of the-mill and the title is misleading. It should just be called "SEO Most Of You Already Know" and maybe should be subtitled "Oh yeah, and pay for some clicks while you're about it". The author gets a nice little dofollow link to her agency (where she'll no doubt be more than happy to get paid to use your money in order to spend it on clicks you could have bought yourself anyway) and all comments under this article are nofollow. How miserly.
Ouch. But my title promises nothing. I looked at this post as a simple reminder to not get too focused on increasing position for certain keywords. And that SEO is all encompassing and there are other things to do that will help boost rankings beyond the obvious. My incentive for blogging on behalf of SEJ is hardly for a followed link to my company's blog. I love writing in the hopes that someone finds what I have to say useful.
Ah, right, altruism. If only it actually existed. I suggest you read 'The Selfish Gene' by Richard Dawkins or 'The Red Queen' by Matt Ridley. You'll be taking all our backlinks off your posts then?
