What do you do when you finally reach your goal of #1 rankings? Do you simply enjoy the ride and pray Google keeps you at the top spot? I'd add 'look up the body' as well as 'down the long tail'. Eg, your top for 'sales training tips':

* target down tail - exploit the long tail, all keywords containing 'sales training tips' and similar.

* target up the body - eg, 'sales training'.
