Charles Preston has responded to my blog post regarding VerfifiedSEO, if you are interested.
"I stand accused by the SEM community for never being heard of and I guess for that I am guilty of something? I stand accused for doing a piss poor job of launching a new business designed to help the SEM industry and for that, yes I am guilty. I really screwed that up."
Charles Preston has responded to my blog post, if you are interested in reading more.
Promoted to front page for the lengthy discussions by Charles Preston and others in the comments.
I don't believe this Sphinn presentation represents reality... go read the article and comment thread.
If you only see this on Sphinn, you only get a title "When an SEO Expert is Not an SEO Expert" and a report that the guy apoligized for screwing up. BUT.... if you read the ACTUAL article and comments, you see that a few well known SEO people went way overboard with their emotions, had to correct themselves, and that Charles Preston probably caved in early to aggressive, probably fear-inspired responses of a few hyper-vocal SEO community members.
Sphinn is a "spin machine" sometimes so be careful what you trust... read the articles for yourself.
Even better is this thred http://sphinn.com/story/145890 in which more SEOs jump in and show their colors. Seriously... have you all been trolled?
Jane Copeland seems to be the only lucid one willing to comment see http://seobullshit.com/verified-seo-open-challenge/#comment-42124273
Tim Nash understands SEO industry as well... but only admits it in the comments, after taking some of the publicity with his post. Not a crime... and nice to see his comments http://www.timnash.co.uk/03/2010/peek-a-boo-i-see-you/
