So, you just got a job in the SEO (search engine optimization) industry!

First off, I want to say congratulations. Trust me, once you start SEO, you just can’t stop.

Now if you are that green to the industry you are probably wondering “Where the hell do I start?”

I really wouldn't be telling newbies to read DigitalPoint. There are too many spams and scams promoted there.

There are plenty of other places that discuss "safe" SEO, places that would be far more beneficial to such readers.

I would try at least webmasterworld.com and searchengineforums.com in place of that.

There is an unhealthy obsession with worthless tools in this industry, especially stuff like keyword density checkers and such like.

I would send newbies as far away from such junk as far as I possibly could.
