There are some great ideas in this article. Really good. Just my kind of thing ...
16 April: Mark Nunney: "Really really really easy SEO"
20 April: Larry Kim: "A Really Easy (and Powerful) Long-Tail Approach to On-Page SEO"
16 April: Mark Nunney: "target the head, exploit the tail"
20 April: Larry Kim: "Target the Head, leverage the tail"
Spooky.
Your resource/plugin looks interesting. Content is definitely a major component to any SEO strategy. Many SEO experts however, are starting to downplay the importance of keywords saying that major search engines will be giving less and less weight to keyword density, how do you feel about that statement?
Hi, Mark. Neither of us were the first search marketers to write about 'easy approaches to SEO' or push 'long tail' messaging, which obviously originated from "the long tail" by Chris Andersen. That said, we've been urging users to leverage the long tail and the data from their own analytics since the company was founded. It’s a recurring theme in many of the articles we've published in the past year or so (some links included below). But glad to see we’re both on the same page!
Hiya Larry. I'm happy that we both talk long-tail search marketing and keyword niches. May the world join us. And I really like some of your tools for the job, particularly that you're integrating a working process into the tools' functionality.
My comment was just about your headline and subhead being so similar to mine. It was spooky and quite cool, I thought. Although I was a bit concerned Wordtracker (who I write for) might think it was me writing for you too.
How do I deal with so many keywords I want to use? I hve a 5 page website while I have tons of keywords to use; mostly long tail. What are the downside of long tail keywords? here is one keyp phrase I have been jumbling to find the most relevant for my site.
