An extremely well-written and dare I say, gripping story about the impact of a Digg frontpage and its toil on a man’s life and body... "Atkins, diuretics and rubber suits, you’re so five-minutes ago. I was only three-weeks into my journey to the core of the blogosphere when I discovered the astonishing slimming power of Digg.com."

I still vividly remember the first, and only, time I had a post hit the front page of digg and came back from an afternoon meeting to learn my account had been suspended due to a spike in CPU usage.  Luckily, as soon as I contacted my host and mentioned digg they had me back up and running. This post brought back quite a few of those memories, lol.

Hilarious, esp. the bit about having to ramp up the costs of the hosting. Not too funny when you’re in the middle of it, to be sure, but obviously a very efficient way to get rid of excessive blog lard. :)

Makes you wonder at what point you should upgrade your hosting? In anticipation? Or after the fact. I did have to laugh at this though...

Such a great story. Always nice to know how someone handles the digg effect. I wonder if any hosting companies offer a digg plan or digg insurance in case you are dugg ;)
