I've pushed this to the home page because while there has been a lot of talk of the FaceBook changes lately, I don't think it's been spelled out so clearly as to the extent of it.
I had been looking at a lot of the changes carefully, and had no idea that they were just removing and changing words in your profile, as well as all the other stuff Kim points out here.
My hope is that they simply have some bugs that they haven't worked out yet, and they don't intend to be as Big Brotherish as this new system currently appears to be.

I keep testing it out. Another example is the word "mine". Say you use the word "mine" in your status or profile "info". Facebook links the word "mine" to a Community Page called "Mine". It shows all the people (names and pictures) of everyone who has used that word, whether or not you are "Friends".
It's hard to believe they would think it was useful to link together all the people who say "mine" in their profiles.
Very strange, indeed!
Small point to add, but up here in Canada, our "Privacy Commissioner" is looking into these changes and has a timeline of 4 more months to comeup with a solution...or it appear, our Gov't will be knocking on Facebooks' door...and legal remedies may even be included!Go here - http://www.canuckseo.com/index.php/2010/05/04/facebook-privacy-issues-for-canadians/ - to read my own blog on same, eh!:-)Jim
