"Ah, sweet controversy is in the air and I just can't tell you how much I love it.After commenting on Andy Beard's article about Pay-Per-Joke and reading one of his Stumbles about the same, I just had to laugh and finish something I'd wanted to start a few weeks ago."

love me or hate me, I'll find a use for it. ;-) Thanks, Shana.
I have no doubt you will. ;-)
"It's a company that has to pretend to care about you and many of you really believe it does because it provides an opportunity for the godless to feel as if they belong to something much larger and much better than themselves."
Priceless! LOL
Thanks, Ralph. I've a feeling we're on the same page regarding more than a few things. ;-)
Sam this is a great article. The only thing left out is consumers don't want to read paid reviews in my opinion. I read on review on roof and tile products by a 22 year old college drop out who has never owned a home and doesn't even pay rent to her mommy and daddy. A bunch of fluff to get herself paid by the company and mislead consumers.
Excellent point, David. Many consumers don't want to read paid reviews for just the reason you mentioned. Unfortunately, there are probably still a lot of people who just happen to land on reviews and aren't as aware and still take the "paid review" seriously.
Fantomaster, I loved that line as well. But attacking a 'victim' if you will of Google's makes no sense. They don't reduce their own pagerank for their own link practices, why go along with their attacks on others even in a small degree? Granted google owns their search engine and pagerank and can do as they please, but as Andy said on his site google should not be claiming that pagerank is somehow a quality meter for websites.
Going after other webmasters or pay per post's bloggers makes enemies where none need exist. Everyone is just trying to make a living in this world and bloggers as Sam said are caught in the mix. They are just trying to make money.
Would anyone here know of a link that has a large list of sites that are not included in Google's searc hengine results, for whatever reason ( John Chow)? I'd really appreciate it if anyone knows of such a list.
