From the story at Search Engine Land: "After months of testing, Google is releasing a new look-and-feel for its search results today, a three column design that provides a permanent menu of search options and tools to help searchers refine their queries. Very detailed guide to new Google UI, thank you. Has this just made SEO a lot more complicated with multiple SERP pages (blog search, video, news, images) to rank in, or is the new UI just refined navigation, as most of these options were always available in the top navigation from before.

The new google is great! The search options column is a useful upgrade. Looks like the other search engines are going to be scrambling again to follow Google.
