Huge opportunities here for those in local markets. For example my office is 10 minutes from LAX and I can help my whole community by organizing lists of relevant data. Got some posts to make!
On a related note, its amazing just how much Thanksgiving-related searches are dominating the listings in Googles Hot Trends report. Its like the country has shut down and everyone is working on cooking the perfect turkey!
@MariosAlexandrou: I noticed that. In fact I printed the top 100 around 5pm as it was a virtual grocery list (minus a few non-related searches) and mini guide to Thanksgiving.
Danny:If youre looking for some additional real-time flight tracking tools, including one (FlightExplorer and SkylineGlobe**** (a 3D globe, free and fast download) that allows you to track planes in and out of North American airspace, we have this post on ResourceShelf that lists a couple of other services. What about trains, traffic, etc? We also have a "Real Time Info" category on ResourceShelf. It is global in scope (several UK sites) and includes both web and mobile web resources. + One of the services, FlightStats, just released a tool for Facebook+ Another service offering 3D tracking is fboweb and Google Earth. **** Another super cool feature is the ability to take live traffic camerasand lay them on top of aerial imagery. Data from the free TrafficLand.com aggregation service.
