I think I had that same client who asked after 2 weeks "are we ranking yet"?!
In addition, I pushed this to the home page as it's worthy, but perhaps overlooked.Sphunn based on #2: fixing code -- who does it.
A good reminder for all SEO experts to manage the client’s expectations in the proposal stage itself. Many SEO's are concerned with losing a client by being upfront, but it’s better than loosing face and reputation down the line.
The onus is on SEOs to educate their clients. Setting realistic goals for client sites before starting a campaign can save a lot of bitterness later.
