I'd go as far to say Cialdini material is a must have for any social media marketer. Combining various principles of influence and testing them against your current strategies, can show dramatic improvement in results.
Just finished watching the lecture on youtube. VERY good stuff. He just made another book sale. The first section on recriprocation, I just couldn't help but think of social media voting.
Ditto what Dave said. Funny to see Maki reference this as I was just thinking about it earlier today, and had found out about him earlier by googling "influence." Cialdini was brilliant!
