I fully respect the opinion of John Mu, but I would recommend using the meta robots and its directives "noindex,nofollow,nosnippet.
Surely just noindex.. people link to these pages so you want juice to flow, and nosnippet... if it is not appearing in the index has no real purpose.
Andy I forgot to add here that I would alternatively use X-Robots directives "noindex,noarchive,nosnippets" which from my experience also work fine.
