This should be great!
While free now, I can't help but think this is the first step towards truly being able to monetize Twitter. It would be easy and useful to many to offer more premium stats for a fee. I'm surprised it's taken them this long to start offering this.
Expect verified users and beta testers to get it, and for it to be rolled out to everyone once they have figured out how to make money from it in 18 months.
In the meantime expect less people to create applications in this segment becasuee it will be harder to get funding.
