In both my current and previous jobs, the best clients were the ones who showed the greatest commitment. It’s not a coincidence that theirs were also the most successful projects. It only takes one person in a company to undermine a search marketing campaign.

Interestingly, what Matt mentions in his post is exactly what we (my chiropractic office) asks for people that want to get well (good reason why to study other industries for ideas).Let’s look at SEO is if it was your health. You don’t want crisis care. You don’t want band-aid care. You don’t want care that has side effects (like getting banned in serps). You want a well established plan for maintenance and improvement, thus allowing continued growth, prosperity, and longevity. From Matt’s post with some healthy tips added...A) planning, to (be healthy) B) developing a strategy, to (be healthy) C) implementing tactics, to (be healthy) D) measuring what worked and what didn’t, to (be healthy) E) repeating steps B, C, D, and E.Good SEO’s help keep your business healthy!

The clients that get the best results are the ones who view the SEO campaign as a partnership. It’s definitely a lot harder to get good rankings for clients who view SEO as something they need to take no active involvement in, which will magically get them to the 1st page of Google. This is probably the case in most businesses, but I think it’s especially true for SEO.
