I say yo. That is because I need the link juice. To get high ranking it is necessary - as you will find out soon.
Many of those articles are low quality and essentially just clog up the web. And when you visit an e-commerce site with intention to buy, you often find a bunch of superfluous articles obviously written for ranking purposes. Which, for me, does not increase my confidence in the website.
Another thing I say "no" to are offers from others to contribute free articles to my content sites. About once a week I get an email from someone generously offering a free topical article for one of my sites. All they ask is that I keep the embedded links they include in the article. I never respond.
SEO Articles and Satellite sites are very important if you want to raise your blog's PR or whatever you are optimizing...
As a junior SEO executive i`m still learning and i should tell you when i optimize
the PR gets up to ... 3 at the max without Articles and satellite sites...
you will find out soon enough that articles count...
Cheers

Too bad you're missing the point of the article entirely, Justin Barley.
You two are funny, telling Jill she'll see? She's been in the SEO world since the 90's. Maybe you'll learn to take what she says into consideration. Most of you new to SEO's seem to think what you're doing is new. It's all been done before and proven to not be a good long term strategy.
