After a year of discussions, ACAP was released today as a sort of robots.txt 2.0 system for telling search engines what they can or can't include in their listings.

hmm so a competitor to G,Y and MSN is pushing a new standard

so nice long story but doesnt say exactly what advantages it gives over robots.txt may be teh main search engiens should just deindex all news papers for a month and see how they like that :-)
