An excellent post about SEO accountability that debunks the notion that it is someone else's fault when your work doesn't get implemented.

It relieves my stress to know that it is NOT my fault when they don't implement my recommendations. When I am merely a consultant and I provide the analysis, my job is done. I do occasionally work with a developer who doesn't follow my structure despite a clear plan and I find it very frustrating. I am still trying to get one programmer to fix a site that has slid in the SERPs since launch. Clearly I need to be a better communicator.
