flash and ajax = bad. and i am still seeing a bunch of sites coming to us for seo that are almost completely designed using images. yikes! i thought web design companies would at the very least keep up with the latest design trends. umm, css anyone?

Unfortunately, SEO is often an afterthought. After they have spent all of their money on PPC and discover that no spend means no visitors, then they turn to SEO.

There is no reason you can't use Flash and maintain search engine readability. Flash replacement is nothing new, and while it does take a good amount of preparation to get your pages to degrade gracefully it is well worth the effort.
