Google's ownership of DoubleClick is being challenged in Europe. They may have to sell it and if they do it is more valuable with the SEO company than without.  Google being a huge company now moves like a dinosaur and they have to when dealing with the Dinosaur governments of the world, especially the more socialist Europe.  They ( The EU) are forcing Microsoft to pay hundreds of millions of dollars ( basically for being so successful, how dare Bill be successful, he has to share the wealth right? Even with his own operating system and browser).  I would argue this point but that's government. They have the power to destroy any company.

Therefore Google will wait until the legal suits over Doubleclick are over, and that could be many more months or with government, who knows, years!

SEguide should know better than to publish this... it is still completely unknown what Google will do with Performics because Google does NOT yet own the company. Complaining about something that may happen in the future is a waste of time and energy.

At least wait until after the sale takes place for Google to comment on it - in the meantime they couldn't comment if they wanted to.

On the other hand, it'd be legit to ask what Microsoft is doing with Razorfish's SEO division instead... since that is a done deal.
