What is the significance of nofollow for link building and SEO? Should you care about the nofollow attribute at all or do only low level link builders waste their time dealing with it? Maybe you have to think of your link profile first and foremost?

I noticed that blog spamming is the new black. Why are there hundreds of guides to comment posting as a way of link building nowadays and when will Google actually deal with this?
