Technorati found that of all recorded blog postings in the fourth quarter of last year, 37 percent were written in Japanese, 36 percent in English and 8 percent in Chinese. This was not an aberration. In the past three years, Japanese has been running ahead of or about even with English as the dominant language of blogging, according to Technorati.

Loved this article Maki - a nice break from the relentless ’Look at me!’ of Western blogs.Just how many times I could read Junko Kenetsuna’s conservative accounts of what she had for lunch today I’m not sure, but casual and understated is certainly a pleasant change.

This was a great wake up call.  I get really tired of the dog eat dog moderation of social media networks, and info-blogs.
