Well ya just had to figure some one would try and create a revenu model around Social Media Power users and frequently top voted sites. So now we have; FrontPageBids.com

Mashable - It was bound to happen sooner or later - a company designed to help website owners capitalize specifically on Digg, Reddit or Slashdot effects. FrontpageBids claims to be launching a limited, invitation online private beta of their monetizing service.

Details are sketchy - almost as sketchy as to the benefits of buying impression-metered ads on sites that have been Dugg or Slashdotted. From the bits of information available, though, it appears that the ads will be sold in an online auction organized on the content’s category and which network will be linking to it.
