Chris, I could be wrong because Im more internet marketer than SEO anything but I do believe I read, somewhere, Andy Beard saying that a page should have no more than 100 or 150 outbound links or something like that (andy, please correct if wrong)... but when I read that, coupled with the fact that I give out links without even thinking about it and its never affected my PR......and that my site has remained stable PR4 through all the algorithm changes and whatever else is going on, I dont even think GOOGLE knows what determines link juice anymore. I mean, girlfriend, PLEASE...!
Sam,The reason you dont want more than 100 - 125 outbound links on a single page is because spiders will stop following the rest of the links. It wouldnt affect "your PR" except the miniscule amount of recursive PR you get internally for linking back and forth and back and forth between your own pages. High numbers of outbound links will not affect "your PR", just the amount of "juice" each of those links are given.
True, but I wouldnt bother that much. Just get more links by concentrating on the work that leads to getting more natural links. All this testing and reasoning is a waste of time.
onreact, thats pretty much what Im getting at... thanks for putting it so concisely. And thanks Bradley for clearing that point up.
