Inflammatory titles aside, I think reddit is a fantastic site. I read it constantly. As the reddit audience has grown, the type of content submitted to the site has changed. It turns out that the “wisdom of the crowd” idea on which social bookmarking sites are predicated can get tricky as your crowd gets more diverse.

Reddit has really declined this year. Even this spring, it was still quirky and fun.

It’s not fantastic. Reddit is one of the most hostile sites on the net. It’s exclusive, intolerant and highly discriminating against everything that does not fit the norm.

I’ve had a lot of fun on Reddit. For politics you can have a ball watching the total Anti-American crowd go at it if you are into politics. The majority of Reddit’s core are extremely left of center and the majority actually believes that President Bush purposely killed thousands of Americans on 9/11. I mean really, they are far out there.
