I love this kind of thing, as whenever I talk to SEOs it's always about something other than how they got started. It's always fascinating to learn how people got into the field.

Julie, you are absolutely right.  In fact the only person that I can remember who actually asked me "how I started" was Matt McGee when I met him at a local U convention over a year ago.  Other then that time it just doesn't seem to come up very often.  Most people just want to know the "Tricks". :)
