Popular social news site “Digg” has a reputation for being a democratic news website worthy of competing with mainstream sources such as CNN. Both news sources focus on completely different “news worthy” stories, but a few months ago we were lucky enough to have our site listed on Digg and CNN within 2 days of each other. Now it’s time to share the results with the world.

Fantastic results there. I’d also be interested to see what level of backlinks the exposure on each site generated.

There’s a good comment on this post about how CNN’s story stays in the same place, while the Digg story moves around.  I also think that there are separte mentalities associated with links from both sites.  Many a Digg user will only read enough to post a text related comment.  For shame.  (on me as well.  8-P)

I don’t believe this guy. Never heard of this obscure company and they do not offer any hints whatsoever as what story it was and how it got popular. Everybody can fake a screenshot.
