Marty, thanks...this is a lot of information to share.
Great idea Marty ... I know Ill be following these agency advice posts with much enthusiasm.
Thank you Jeff. We appreciate our friendship with you.
Great post Marty. Im always interested in how other agencies handle these types of issues.
Marty, a few years ago I was looking for someone to advize me on these very things! I dont do PPC management for clients anymore, but I recognize what a huge resource it is to hear of the things others are going through and thank you for continuing to share.
coming from the client side, a lot of this is fairly frieghtening. I would guess that most on the client side would assume: that anything that you do for me that I pay you for, would be my "property" QS included.
Great dialog everyone. Thanks. Theres a great thread going on the blog right now with others weighing in with their managment methods and policies.
I havent done client PPC campaigns for a bit, but didnt Google ad some text to the agreement that the client basically owns the campaign? i.e., if they walk from your agency, they take the PPC campaign with them. I always had an agreement that the PPC campaign, ads, and search terms were my body of work, but Google disallows that. If its their campaign anyway, might as well have them on the hook for the CC info as well.Still, some great points to ponder.
