"dont go overboard" Hmm... Any suggestions what I should wear? Please remember that bathing suits are not allowed ;)
The power of the avatar is massive, especially when those "brands" can be carried across other platforms. I have found myself recognizing many faces/avatars on places like myweblogs, twitter, digg, mixx, etc... and admit Im more likely to click, visit, take action on those related posts.
Yes, Brians article takes a nice look at the dynamics of avatars.
Many people will never look at your name/nick and make an association between your posts, but they will notice the connection if your avatar appears over and over again.Excellent post.
@sexyseo: hey, wasnt my call. I didnt think you took it over the top, but whatever. Its all back to normal now, right?@planetc1: cross site is the power of recognition.@aimclear: thanks, glad you liked it, Marty!@peterdaly: thank you...and the way that you get that avatar to be seen over and over again is to get it noticed the first time. For instance, I have burned my green N into your memory :)
I see the green N in my SLEEP...AEGGGGHHHH...MAKE IT STOP!!!!!
come on Marty, you dont sleep :)
I almost didnt click on it, just to be difficult. Good article, though!
The headline was Brians and its hard to pass up.
I vote for my avatar as most memorable of 2007, lol
Great post. :)@incrediblehelp Nothing works better than a red crab.
