An interesting tidbit from Bergy (Google) on the SWFobject http://groups.google.com/group/Google_Webmaster_Help-Indexing/msg/b22f66ab527a069a raises a question WRT Dan Crow’s talk at the SEMNE session: http://groups.google.com/group/Google_Webmaster_Help-Indexing/msg/29d339bbdfbef2df Worth digging deeper I think.

Very interesting article and thanks to Sebastian for the links. I’m divided on Flash - my aesthetic heart says yes; my SEO mind still says no!

There is nothing "agressive" about that.

yeh thats the way I have done it in the past doesn’t mention the masive increase in cost and time to develop in that way though. there are probaly much better ways of spending that cash.

IMHO not new info, not the best way to manage Flash, and not an authoritative article. We don’t care what the W3C says about validity, and labeling it "aggressive" is a cop out for an honest professional SEO opinion. SEO is all about Google’s opinion. Google has already addressed the issue many times, including just weeks ago in July http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/07/best-uses-of-flash.html If I could add a -1 to the Sphinn count I would, but it seems Sphinn is a popularity contest ;-)
