Is a premium membership to SEOmoz worth it?
I am a newbee to SEO & marketing sites i am looking for the best training resources for learning SEM. We are using Andy's SEOBook, SEO Fast Start. We are looking at memberships like SEOmoz and perhaps the Sitepoint SEO kit.
Do you have any other great sites, books or forums that will help us get started on the right foot.
All the Best

As a premium SEOmoz member, I think it's worth it. There are some good tools and an excellent Q&A section only available to members which can be a great resource if you're new to the industry.
As a newbie you might find this cautionary tale useful - http://sphinn.com/story/1142
And this should give you a list of some of the better SEO resources available - http://sphinn.com/story/1232
Hope this helps.
It depends on what you normally do to learn things.
If you have the time to read hundreds of articles, then probably not. You will find the tips in SEOmoz articles that can be found scattered in other great articles, including from SEOmoz, from their free articles and other expert sites.
Their tools are great, no question about that, but I find that if you focus on building quality content and promoting it, you don't need many tools, more like content writers and web developers. That's an IMHO, of course.
Becides, would you pay $400 to access tools for things you can do yourself? If you are a SEO, finding the best page to get a link from on a site is as easy as typing site:domain.com in Yahoo.
So, I'd say, it depends.
Good sites to learn from would be:

http://copyblogger.com

And possibly other sites you may find on the homepage here.
