It looks like more of a tool to help filter stories for editors and give the community more power to promote stories to the editor level. I’ve been playing with it for a few weeks and it’s pretty cool, with some innovative stuff actually.

Adam - you’re exactly right - my description question was more of a tease ;) One thing that I liked about how they released Firehose is that they actually addressed people thinking it would just be a Digg clone.
