Another option is to use www.dofollowblogs.comNice write-up non-the-less
I agree with this comment"Nah, spamming them is not practical. Do-Followers moderate like crazy."There are a number of notable bloggers, marketers and SEOs I have heavily moderated in the past for abuse, but as you become a real member of a blog community, blog owners will be a lot more relaxed. If someone is going to get a free link, it might as well be relevant, but abuse dofollow bloggers at your peril, as it is easy to end up on the wrong side of the spam filter, and very hard to get that reversed.I used to take the time to edit abusive links, now I just click the spam link, though that isnt currently feeding any collective intelligence such as Akismet. If you look on the links from Dofollow as a bonus for your participation in a community you are interested in, great. If you are just commenting to get links, it is much safer spamming forums and guestbooks as I am unlikely to call you out on it.
makes sense in hindsight - doh! But still allows intelligent spam - which I guess is OK cause you are forced to contribute and be accepted. hmm.
@rishilakhaniIntelligent spam is the same as not spam at all. If someone adds something relevant to the conversation...whatever :-)@andy: I agree completely.Eventually my blog will be shifting to a do-follow policy, but theres some internal/seo things that are going to take a bit, and then the other issue is my well, "shady" audience might lead to some issues. Heh. Great perspective though.
Appreciate the credit, and nice solution to the problem of finding dofollow blogs!
@Andy - I give you props for knowing a world more than me about SEO and about the more involved folks of the greater blogging and SEO communities but Im not quite ready to agree. I think, being as prolific as you are, you might project your greater understanding onto the backdrop of the greater community but my experience is that the majority of people are just not as aware as you are... or as you make them out to be.After all, this isnt really about SEO or psychology (yet), but about "mechanics" because most of the time, we are creatures of habit, behaving like machines. No matter how we slice it in academic debate, people tend to behave differently outside of the academic enclave - they want comments, they will tolerate good comment spam. I have even tolerated good comment spam for reasons that would open up a hornets nest here, but I have. Its so easy to forget what we are really up against with zillions of new bloggers jumpin on board each day, but ifn ya follow the Controversy Blog, it sometimes becomes just a little bit clearer. ;-)
I recently found some good do-follow blogs by making this search on google. The results are tens of web directories specially for do-follow blogs.
Thank you for the good post, im so glad people like you are leading the way and keeping the do-follow movement alive, to think of all that time we spent posting and making good contributions to no follow blogs. Geesh, i just added the "comment Luv" tab on my site at http://www.college-degree-fast.com im in the process of making several education related blogs for users to post to. Those are hard to find. ill be back and share that, thanks again
