While this article had some good information, I had a couple of problems with it.
The first was that I had never heard the term faceted navigation before, so I would have liked a bit more explanation as to what the author meant by that.
And the second was that he said that using the nofollow attribute would stop a page from being indexed, which I don't believe is correct.
Otherwise, it was an interesting article.

I'm with your, no follow says you'd rather not share authority (or link juice) to a particular site your linking too.
However, you can still get crawled on no follow links, plus a few no follow links in your backlinks looks more natural as far as I'm concerned.
