This is a great post... I build lists for artists in Hollywood and recently I have been able to add just under 2500 genuine follows in two weeks to an artists account. I'd like to make three points here...

You need to have a home, a blog, items of content to really hook the new follower and capture more of their data.

It needs to be a genuine strategy attracting people who really are in your niche.

Don't be greedy stay within the twitter API rules or you will lose your account.
