SEO Honolulu offers up 5 signs that it’s time for you to trade the land of SEO for the beach and little umbrella drinks. He also mentions Danny Sullivan needing to adopt a Ninja Rabbit. I personally think this is a most excellent idea.

Hey! With all due respect to SEO Honolulu, I’m claiming ownership of the "Signs You Need a Break From SEO" topic. I covered it last year: http://www.smallbusinesssem.com/2006/09/22/top-21-signs-you-need-a-break-from-seo/ And an updated version for 2007 is already well underway. :-) Everyone else leave this topic alone.....

Oh, no, it’s the battle of the Matts! Matty McGee vs. Matt Webb! Who shall be victorious? Don’t worry, boys, no one will complain if there are multiple posts about SEOs needing vacations.

Hey Matt :) I just read your article. Looks like we both need vacations. Wanna crash at my place in Hawaii? :p

You can all come, but Matt already promised me free birthday cake and drinks. You all have to provide your own.

Yup, Lisa was the first. But if you guys bring her enough drinks, she’ll probably share the cake. She better anyways.. I’ll be paying for it :p

6.) You spent the first hour and a half of work on Sphinn and realized that you haven’t even opened up Outlook yet.

It’s funny, but seriously, it takes me two full days into a vacation to get rid of the feeling that I must turn on my computer. It’s so hard to overcome that habit when one is supposed to be relaxing. Nice post. Miriam

"It’s funny, but seriously, it takes me two full days into a vacation to get rid of the feeling that I must turn on my computer" What?! That’s just crazy! They wouldn’t put free wireless access in hotels if you weren’t supposed to turn your computer on :P

Wow, this article is a funny but scary realization of what I’m getting into - I’m slightly new to the SEM world, having just started a job as a PPC analyst. My significant other has been in the online world for over a decade and I’ve spent the last three years trying to break him of his internet addiction.
