For those of us doing local this is VERY good news.
That definetly is a big step
Farewell, alt attribute.
I dont see the big deal. Weve been busting CAPTCHA images for ages...same concept.
Once Google implements this feature this might change the way the (optimized) websites look today and definitely optimizing images for Google would also take a twist.I couldnt help but add a short article on this aspect in my blog ( http://seo-kolkata.blogspot.com ) this morningAlso, this is sure to reduce the eternal clash between web designers and SEOs in respect to use of images.
Mad Hat, I had the exact same thought. Makes me think of that series Slightly Shady SEO posted on Captcha cracking: http://www.slightlyshadyseo.com/?p=25
@Gab: Thanks!@Everyone else: I wonder if I could get some hits by putting the word "BIG TITS" or something on my roof. And a domain name, of course :-D Let their Google Earth images handle the rest
@SlightyShady - as long as "Big Tits" is relevant for your house....then Ill be over with 20 of my friends. ;)
Ah, apologies MadHat. No relevance. Although theres got to be a way to redirect users to a local hooker corner(via on roof catapult?)...IRL blackhat: the next big thing!
Roof capapult redirect! The google spy satelittes will spot that and ban your house. Ill have to tell you the story of my IRL spam idea that I didnt do (yet).
haha sure. And btw, they wont spot me with an INVISIBILITY CLOAK[ing]Oh god. Harry potter SEO jokes. Shoot me now.
