I saw a a BusinessWeek column today advising small businesses to avoid things like RSS feeds, blogs, SEO, AdWords, and Web 2.0. It got me so riled up, I had to write a post to my blog, and then submit it to a social news site or two.

That's the worst article I've ever read. Anywhere. Wow. What a dope.

Certainly makes me feel not like the Luddite that I sometimes feel like.  I'm surprised he didn't have "The Internet" on his list :D

One particularly dangerous thing he advocates is no antivirus software.  That is just plain stupid.  I get 10+ viruses sent to me a day in email attachments.  Of course, since I actually use a spam filter (ok a few) and antivirus sofware, I never catch anything icky. But anyone who thinks they won't get a virus in today's world if they go on the internet even for just a few mins. a day is just plain dumb.  You will eventually catch something if you don't have up-to-date antivirus software.

Sad but true.

This guy truly is a toad.
