Yes, agree with you. If i am a Rss subscriber of those blogs then i hate to see the same stories there too, maybe Digg shd have a filter option in profile to select which domains i don’t want to read there

Everybody has a chance if you invest time on learning what type of content does well on Digg and then angling your own stuff to suit it. If you are a small blog, it pays to not be too aggressive because some Diggers don’t like small sites getting too much attention too fast. And launch stories through strong users....its good for your brand.

I agree with DoshDosh...I think everyone has a chance.  Especially if you do a lot of digging yourself and have a good base of friends on there.  It also doesn’t hurt to have your story submitted through some top ranking diggers.

It is always the same old sites that make it, smaller ones tend to get banned or put on auto bury, isn’t yours on auto bury dosh dosh? Having said that I know a guy who built a blog up from nothing recently and now he is a regular on the homepage, it could have easily have gone the other way though and he could have been put on auto bury for life, because it is an environment blog I think he got a bit of leeway, maybe digg think they are doing their bit for the environment by not banning eco sites. The vast majority of commercial business sites with a blog that get submitted more then a couple of times will get banned or put on auto bury. If you get quite a bit of digg juice and you have a personal blog that you submit a few times it will get banned:Here is a blog by one of my digg friends Roy: http://royshechter.blogspot.comSubmitted twice and banned.Tamar’s http://Techipedia.com is another example of one that has been put on auto bury.

srik79: easy.  Ask us.  If we like it, we’ll submit it.  If we don’t, we won’t. :P

@Eavesy Yeah my blog is on autobury but that’s only natural since its a marketing/make money blog. Some diggers have small blogs which don’t get autoburied...there’s one from Digg user queenofgossip and I think you might be referring to http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/ for the enviro blog? :) Deputy Dog started as a small blog as well, I still remember the first time it got to the frontpage last year. It’s not auto-buried and its one of the most successful humor blogs out there, alongside Cracked.com. Every post is a frontpage. Every marketer or blogger (small or big) would do well to keep in mind that life on Digg is unpredictable. Milk it for what its worth when you can because it might not last long.
