I’d love to think of more ways to beat that Sandbox effect. Do you have any other sites you can think of that allow the same sort of leverage? I know eBay allows blogs with do-follow links back for example  :)

Great Tip - for driving traffic for new sites. I think that another advantage to having a page hosted on an authority site is the ability to do some deep linking into those pages with out worring so much about the quality of those links - not that I’m suggesting doing any "blackhat"tricks to push those hosted pages - I’ll leave that to the imagination of SlightlyShadySEO ;)
