This is a basic SEO 101 chore that everyone should be doing, not just bloggers. You can better understand how customers and site visitors see you by the keywords they are using, identify content people are looking for and not finding, etc. Checking your logs is fundamental. Everyone should take a look at their logs at some point, right?

I agree with Martini, this is basic marketing.While most idiots run SERP checkers to see where they rank, people that know what they’re actually doing use analytics instead to see what keywords bring them traffic instead.
