Just curious, why does a university spend $162 million in ads?
Good question.
Cause they know where the money is?
or they are trying to beat out prescription drug companies from cornering the universe?
A friend of mine used to work for Diverse Education, he just left there to work for Microstrategy. You'd be surprised at the monies spent in advertising on many levels with higher edcuation officials.
UOP is a for-profit educational source my friend. Campuses in Mexico, Puerto Rico, US, and Canada. BIG MOOOLAH to be gained from the $162 million (pennies) they throw around.

Education is BIG business. According to AdAge, ad spending by colleges and universities was up 27% including a 627% increase in national TV spending, last year!
