"when the analytics code is at the top of the page it slows down the load time as opposed to when its at the bottom." This was cool to know. I was wondering about that. I have four analytics on my site right now. I put them all at the bottom, but I have several clients who actually put them in the head tag of all places. Wondered why their sites seem to be slow even compared to mine with the four :)
For code at the bottom of the page, the danger is that for vistors who back-button before the page finishes loading, you get no record they were ever there. Thats a small disadvantage.
