one thing i don’t get is if there is an embedded flash object in the page, and Google cand read the content of the flash file, does the text in the flash add relevancy to the page or just to itself ? since flash files are presented as independent results, my bet is that optimization of flash content will promote the .swf file, not the page it is placed on...

... again just another thing that can be gamed within the engines - I wouldn’t expect much weight to be given to .swf files over HTML pages

PS. My wife used to work for Macromedia, the makers of flash, then she went a search company and they were one of the first to read flash, and they were aware of when Google could read flash.This is so old news.

Google can’t read all Flash and can’t read all links contained within Flash.  Here is another solution.
