Razorfish looked at the analytics from a year's worth of client data and determined that when someone asks if it's important to buy keywords if you already show up in Organic Search, even Position 1...that the answer, for the most part, is YES!

SEO and PPC indeed come together hand in hand. The other one will not function best without the other ones' support. PPC without SEO is like drinking coffee with out sugar and creamer.

I agree. But PPC is expensive compared to SEO. However with proper keywords and number of backlinks, SEO is great.
