Stop words, one of the oldest and most useless "features" of the SEO landscape, are on their way to dinosaur status. When did this happen? Did I miss a memo?

Ha. Good article. I never did find the time to figure out what stop words were all about, and now I suppose it didn't matter. :)

Besides, I never write for the search engines and always recommend to clients that they write naturally anyway. The only effect search engines have on my writing style is that I might substitute a pronoun with a proper noun such as "it" for "Search Engine" -as long as the noun isn't overused to the point of sounding funny to the reader.

Anyway, good article and glad to know that I don't have to worry about stop words!

Great title Dan. Reminded me of the movie Officespace "Did you get the memo Peter?"
